A volunteer position on the credit union’s Board of Directors may be the right fit for you. 

Board of Directors are elected to 3-year terms after which they may be reelected. Elections are held at the annual meeting each year. If you are interested in running for a volunteer position on the Board of Directors please send your written response with qualifications, desire to run and contact information to the address below.

Harbor Pointe Credit Union has an extensive history of dedicated volunteers that reaches back to 1933. These volunteers perform certain essential functions which ensure the stability and growth of the credit union.

The Board of Directors is comprised of 7 volunteers elected by the membership, each serving three year terms. Each member, no matter the size of his or her deposit account, has one vote for prospective board members. The Board of Directors guides the credit union in implementing policy and making decisions regarding products and services that will benefit the entire credit union membership.

The Supervisory Committee is established in accordance with federal regulations and is comprised of 3 volunteers appointed by the Board of Directors. The Supervisory Committee is charged with overseeing the audit process assuring the safety and soundness of credit union assets. Previous audit experience is desired but not mandatory for Supervisory Committee positions.
